Services Provided
INDIComm Medical Command Communications Center &
INDICare Medical Command Physician Team
Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Medical Direction is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the EMS Providers of Indiana and surrounding counties through the INDIComm Medical Command Communications Center located within the department of emergency services. Our team of emergency medical physicians is standing by to provide their expertise and skill in providing emergency medical direction to the EMS providers of Indiana and surrounding counties. All team members operate within the guidelines and protocols established by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS.
EMS Academy
Authorized as a Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS continuing education sponsor and clinical education site, an American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) training site, and an American Red Cross program provider, the Center for Prehospital Medicine provides the latest in emergency medical continuing education; preparing the EMS and healthcare providers, workforce, and citizens of Indiana and surrounding counties to save lives! Programs include but are not limited to CPR, first aid, wilderness and remote first aid, bloodborne pathogens, ACLS, PALS, neonatal resuscitation, stroke education, and more!
EMS Transport Operations
The Center for Prehospital Medicine coordinates with all regional EMS and air medical services to insure transports from IRMC to specialty cardiac, burn, high-risk infant and pediatric, and trauma centers occur in a safe and timely manner.
