We are a 19-bed outpatient surgery unit located on the fourth floor of the hospital's main building. When you arrive on the fourth floor, turn left after you pass our registration area.
Patients who are scheduled for outpatient surgery, or those who will be staying in the hospital after surgery, are admitted to the ambulatory surgery unit. The nurses in the unit will prepare you for your surgery before you go into the operating room.
After your recovery from anesthesia, you are taken from the recovery room to either an inpatient room or, if you are an outpatient, you are taken back to the ambulatory unit to be with your family and await discharge.
All preoperative visits, including EKGs and blood draws, are done in the ambulatory care unit. Our nurses are dedicated to providing you with excellent care.
We perform the following procedures:
- EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy).
- ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram)
- colonoscopy
- bronshoscopy
- flexible sigmoidoscopy
- hemorrhoidectomy
